Quick tips for clear skin

I'm not going to talk about daily skin care routine like moisturizing and cleansing your face. Of course it is important to properly cleanse your face, using products according to your skin type and special skin concerns (acne, hyperpigmentation, oily skin, etc.). But it’s all about making tiny changes that will help improve your chances of combating your skin problems. Healthy, clear skin takes discipline. Sometimes it may seem like your skin is impossible to manage but the good news is that there are ways to prevent and treat skin problems. Let's get started!

Tip No.1 Work from the inside out -eat healthy and cut down on stress

Your whole body is connected, what you feed it literally. Do some exercises and other healthy activities.  When it comes to food, well some food may trigger a hormonal reaction that leads to an overgrowth of skin cells or too much oil production. So if certain food seem to cause you to break out, try to avoid them.  Aim to include food and drink high in antioxidants in your diet. Antioxidants cleanse your system, removing toxins and impurities. Foods with lots of antioxidants: strawberries, grapes, pineapple, kiwi, red cabbage, peppers, apricots, soybeans, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds and green tea.

Tip No.2 Do drink plenty of water

Drink water throughout the day to keep your skin well hydrated. Water is the answer to all your queries of clear skin. Drinking 8–10 glasses of water (2 liters) everyday, flushes out all the toxins that are present in your body. Sounds like a lot, but it will do the trick! It washes your skin from the inside and should start to give your skin noticeable benefits within a week.

Tip No.3 Refresh your pillow case

Wash your pillow cases.Your face spends a third of it’s life resting on a pillow, so make sure it's a clean one! Extra tip for your hair: sleep on silk pillow cases to prevent hair damage/breakage and keep your skin looking youthfull.

Tip No.4 Hit the sack early-beauty sleep

It's called beauty sleep for a reason. Sleep deprivation lowers circulation, which is why you look pale and washed out if you only get a few hours. It's also the best time to rejuvenate your skin. Extra tip: Pick up some soy milk or chamomile tea. Soy proteins hydrate skin to soften the look of crow's feet. To make soothing and redness-busting compresses, pour a small amount of soy milk in a bowl, dunk two cotton balls. Hold the cotton balls over your eyes (or any other area where you have red or irritated skin) for five minutes.

Tip No.5 Never go to bed with your makeup on

Do not forget to remove your makeup and wash your face before you go to sleep. Leaving makeup and dirt on skin doesn't just clog pores  it can cause excessive dryness and even skin dandruff.
Note: Throw away old makeup that smells or looks different from when you first bought it.

Tip No.6 Keep your hair clean

Keep your hair clean and style it away from your face. I don’t wash my hair every day so when I’m on those off days, I make sure I sleep with a lightly wrapped ponytail. You don't want the oil that occurs naturally in your hair to be in your pores!

Tip No.7 Stay out of hot water

A steamy shower may feel great, but it's one of the worst things you can do to your skin. Not only does the heat strip essential oils, but it creates a mild burn.

Tip No.8 Wash your hands

Wash your hands before applying anything to your face, such as makeup. Also avoid touching your face as much as possible with your fingers or leaning your face on objects that collect sebum and skin residue like your phone. Use antibacterial gel as a substitute to clean your hands on the go or in areas where you don't have water.

Tip No.9 Clean your makeup brushes

A British study found that 72% of women never wash their brushes or sponges, even though they harbor dirt and bacteria. Unwashed makeup brushes can spread bacteria to your skin which can cause breakouts. Make sure you wash makeup brushes at least every two weeks. Extra tip: Mix a couple of drops of gentle facial cleanser or shampoo and lukewarm water in a cup, swish your brushes around, rinse with warm water, pat dry, and lay flat to air dry.

Tip No.10 Your Phone - It's Full of Grime!

Clean your phone frequently to avoid breakouts. Try to keep your cell phone from touching your face. Our phones may carry oils and germs that can irritate blemishes. Phone can get more germ-infested than a toilet in a subway bathroom. To keep your phone bacteria-free, wipe it down with an antibacterial wipe. Also don't forget to clean your sunglasses.

Of course if you have really bad skin problems and just can't seem to get rid of your blemishes, acne or other skin conditions it's probably time to see a dermatologist for a treatment program. Think of it as an investment in your health and beauty, it's sure to pay off! A dermatologist can help you find the treatment method that's best for you. You cannot clear up your skin over night. It’s a process that can take some time. It all takes time. Start believing you will have clear skin, mind over matter.

it's cold outside

“Life is too short to wake up with regrets.  So love the people who treat you
right.  Forget about those who don’t. Believe everything happens for a reason.  If you get a chance, take it.  If it changes your life, let it.  Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it.”  H. M.

I've been super-duper-busy these past several days and so tired. A good night sleep will solve my tiredness. Today I just want to share my outfit from the day before yesterday ^_^

Milkmaid braid

So sorry I have been kind of MIA. I've been in the mountains during the last few days, just having fun and skiing. I also started snowboarding  which is way more fun than skiing once you have learned. Follow me on Facebook for daily updates.
I am back in town so my girlfriends and I had a girls night out.You must be wondering what I'm up to in this short sleeve dress in winter time. Before you point the finger let me explain :) I have a lot of friends who love to go to clubs and love dancing but it's extremely hot in those type of places. So I wore my new dress that I recently got as a present. I took these picture during the day when I went to a friend's for some final touch-ups.
And for my hair I decided to put into a milkmaid braid. It's one of those easy hair styles and takes minutes to achieve (also a bad hair day). Hope you like it :)

Ardell Natural trepavice

Uz ARDELL trepavice, tu je komfor i jednostavnost korištenja umjetnih trepavica. One su ultra light, lako se nanose i lako uklanjaju.
O Ardell trepavicama imali ste priliku čitati OVDJE.

Koristila sam  Ardell Natural trepavice i Ardell Clear Adhesive  ljepilo.
