Kuşadası bay

We spent another gorgeous day in Kuşadası. We were enjoying a walk and all the beautiful sights.

Let me introduce you to one of my favorite turkish food:

Delicious kadayıf ( shredded dough) with pistachios. Wow it was so tasty!
One of the best that I have ever tried.

Tea–this is how they serve it in Turkey.

In the city center you will spot the old castle walls. Which is called Kervansaray.

Yurtta sulh, cihanda sulh (Peace at home, peace in the worls). This is a peace monument of Atatürk and Youth.

The Hand of Peace Monument on the main tourist Marina.

Turkish cuisine

Like I told you yesterdaytoday I'll be showing you pictures of delicious turkish food.
Turkish food is regarded as one of the world's great cuisines. Despite the influence of western food and even fast food, Turkey preserves her culinary heritage.

We both ordered tomato soup wtih this tasty bread and İskender kebab.

İskender (or Bursa) kebap is named for the chef who created the dish and the city of Bursa where he created it. Wide slices of lamb served with tomato sauce, rice and yogurt over pieces of pita bread. Yummy ... Lamb has a strong flavour so yogurt dip and rice with strong flavours was really needed. And yogurt has very strong sour taste.

After dinner we went to this shop to buy some turkish sweets.

You can get here halvaakide, fresh coffee, lokum ( a gelled sweet often mixed with hazelnuts or pistachios) and so many other things. This shop smells like heavenSo many delicious sweets in one place.

Hope you enjoyed.

In a foreign country - Turkey

Sorry for my silence dear followers! I have been away for so long
So where have I been? :)

Each summer I visit my grandparents for two weeks. Then my aunt came to visit and stayed with us for almost a week. After that I've been so busy preparing for my upcoming vacation.

My boyfriend and I have returned from a lovely two week trip to Turkey. We visited Kuşadası.People are friendly and genuinely pleased if you can speak a bit of Turkish. We had a blast and enjoying ourselves the whole time.

When it's time to pack I try to take it easy and not to over pack. Shoes take up more room than anything else in suitcase. So I tried to be as comfortable to so I packed only one pair of heels that I wore just for the first night :)
I also try to take one pair of comfortable shoes for sightseeing all day, so you're gonna see me only in flats :) Not really fashionable, but hey I was on vacation :)

For this first post I decided to show you shops in the center of Kuşadası.

Kuşadası is a shoppers paradise. You can find many fake brands like Dolce and Gabbana, Chanel,Guess, Prada, Celine, Mulberry, Juicy etc.. They are really well made.

But I'm not a fan of purchasing designer fakes. I would rather buy non branded a good quality leather handbag. Since I am still student I can't even think about purchasing a real Chanel. would rather  wear a different brand than a fake. I don't really see the point of buying fakes. So I was looking forward to some jewerlly and leather jackets.

You can find really well made silver pieces of jewerlly for a reasonable price.

And just watching sapphires and diamonds :)

You can also always find some quality non-branded clothes.

I really liked these shoes, but they were way too small when I tried them on.

But most of the time I was on the beautiful beaches, relaxing. And of course enjoying special Turkish dishes. Turkish cuisine ranks among the three best in the world: chinese, french and ofcourse turkish.

So in the next post lots of food, beaches and random pics :)

Hope you enjoyed this post.
