My first make-up post

Today, I’m going to be showing you a picture tutorial of the eye makeup I had applied recently.

Start with a clean bare eye.  If you have an eyeshadow base apply it thinly and evenly to the upper lid using a concealer brush or your fingers. This helps your eye makeup to stay in place, but you can skip this step.

Then apply light coat of gold eye shadow (or any neutral/pale colored eyeshadow) over the entire eyelid and use a highlight color on your brow bone and on the inner corner of the eye (tear duct area). And this will help the eyes look wider.

Apply eyeliner pencil along the upper lash line all the way to the inner corners and slightly wing it. Set the eye liner with eyesadow, that can be one shade darker, using angled brush.

Take your favourite eyeshadow and apply it on the outer corner of the eye (outer 1/3rd of the eye) and in the crease. Mix two eyeshadows to make your unique color. I'm using grey and purple. With the rest of the eyeshadow on  the brush  apply it on the remaining 2/3rd of the eyelid. Keep building up the eyeshadow until you are happy with the look. Blend it properly. The colors should look blended and have a nice fade of dark purple to light purple on the crease.

Take a pencil brush and apply the same eyeshadow on the bottom lash line.

Curl your lashes and apply two coats of your favourite mascara.

Fill in your eyebrows so they still look natural.

I quite like this look.

Use a Q-Tip for quick clean-up of maskara or any loose eye shadow. You can also use false eye lashes. I have skipped this step cause I’m not a fan of false eyelashes.

*Because of the flash at last picture that blue eyeliner seems to be black :) You really can't tell because of the flash, but this blue eyeliner, looks beautiful with this purplish eyeshadow.

What do you thinkAny thoughts?
